I'd recommend spend few days on just reading and reading.
Please start read our docs in the online WIKI:
http://www.valentina-db.com/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=paradigma:public:en:en
Here you need read next main docs:
1) Kernel manual -- you need know what Valentina can do.
2) Valentina SQL -- brief reading, again just to get idea what commands
exists, so future you can return and read more deep this or that command.
3) V4REV - Example Guide
and play with our V4REV examples.
exists about 50 examples that cover major features.
4) V4REV Tutorial -- show first simplest step to get first working project
5) V4REV Reference.pdf -- this is not WIKI but PDF, here is detailed
description of all Valentina methods that you can use in Revolution,
as well as REV DB -- although Rev DB is described in Rev docs.
6) if you plan to use Valentina Server - then read WIKI - Vserver docs
--
