VPHP install problem

I'm trying to install VPHP --  v2.2, since that's what's running  
here.  But I get error messages like

dyld: php Undefined symbols:
./php_valentina_ppc.so undefined reference to  
_zend_standard_class_def expected to be defined in a dynamic image
./php_valentina_ppc.so undefined reference to _zval_used_for_init  
expected to be defined in a dynamic image
Trace/BPT trap

when I execute

php info.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
