Database corruption with V4MD 2.4.3

This is precisely what I wanted to try, but I have other problems before I
can reach this area (see my message on the beta mailing list.

I know my best bet is to track this bug down to a simple sample app with a
simple database. I will do if I really can't avoid to fix this for my next
release.
