Crash in VStudio on inspection of empty DB

Not sure I understand that. Are you saying I should use the release  
and not the beta?

Either way I went ahead and updated everything to latest beta out of  
curiosity, and now it works with no crash. I guess I will stick with  
the beta for now and see how far I get on my current project.
