V4rb 2.5(UB) install -Help

I was getting to know 2.4 UB quite well - decided to download 2.5.  
Tried it and could not get any version  to run in the IDE or build  
any version.(hard crash on code line 'xx = new vdatabase') Then tried  
to go back to 2.4 (reinstalled off the .dmg I had saved) and get  
compile error relating to duplicate use of the name bevel button.


1. is 2.5 a UB or non UB version (I know it is labelled UB but??)

2. Has 2.5 install worked

3. Does it overwrite existing version (in my case 2.4UB) (ie  
Vcomponents folder in CFM support and v4rb plugin in Paradigma Folder  
in /user/

4. Can I reinstall by mounting the .dmg a second time and reinstall.  
If not where can I download 2.4UB again from

5. What do I have to delete manually b4 I start

6. As an aside - Downloaded new vStudio as well - get a message that  
2.5 will update DB that may stop it being read in earlier versions -  
is this true??





Clearly something is out of whack - but I don't know how to start  
from a clean sheet and get 2.4UB working again
