    WARNING by big letters!!!

Do not use Vfield.Value

    it is based on VARIANT of REALbasic.
    it is 10 times slower than usage of type-specific values as

        Vlong.Value
        Vshort.Value

This is REALbasic problem/bug. At least it was in RB 5.x and it seems first
RB 2005.
