It is not so big as you can think.
Most changes this is Find/replace all.
 
I think in any case there Is sense

1) look at 2.0 right now

2) subscribe to 2.0 beta list from our support page

3) download and install it, check examples and docs
    and new SQL grammar

4) try to port your project in the separate location.

** If I not mistake Jon have port his app in few hours.
** I have port _TEST project from 1.x to 2.0 in 20-30 minutes.
