V4MD port to OSX Trouble

According to the manual, "The errors numbers of MacOS and Windows - are 
negative numbers".  Does this mean that negative number errors are not 
reported by ValentinaErrorString()?  Where might I find the translation 
of these errors?  I know I should be able to find this on the web, but 
I'm not having any luck.  Thanks.
