Should I start with server and client betas now, or wait?

I am working on a new project that I expect will take about 12-18 
months. I expect to be using this new system while developing it 
starting in as little as 2 months. It will definitely need to be client 
server at some point, but right now it can be single user.

My question is basically whether or not I should start using the latest 
beta builds of Valentina and the server, or should I just stick with 
the 1.x single user stuff for now and switch later. Is anyone using the 
2.0 beta with server and having reasonable success?

I haven't been paying attention for a while, so I may be out of the 
loop on what is workable with the non-release versions of server and 
client.

Oh, I am using REALBasic  also in case that makes a difference.
