Bad Thing?

Is it a 'bad thing' to rename the fields in a VBaseObject inside of an 
RB app?

Example:

Originally the fields were titled "this_fld", "that_fld", "another_fld".

I populated the database.

Then I thought better of my naming convention and changed the fields to 
be "fld_this", "fld_that", and "fld_another".

Now I can't access the database anymore.

Or was it something else I may have done?
