VXCMD crash on ShutDown

I currently remove all cursors and and close the database before 
calling shutdown.

Interesting - the database files I am working with are read only.  I 
just changed the db files to read/write and the crash no longer happens 
when calling ShutDown.  Any idea what the relation between the two 
could be?
