Adding Records at Start

I have a Valentina database that I have been using with Director MX. Up
until this evening, when I add a record via Lingo, it correctly places the
new record at the end of the database. Tonight, for no real reason I can
discern, it has begun to insert the new record at the BEGINNING of the
database. Since I am building dynamic menus from that database, it is
causing a problem in the menu order.

Any idea why this might be happening all of a sudden and how I can get it to
stop???
