VCursur Insert Query for date time format errors

I have a valentina db, which has the dateformat set to [2, "/", ":", 20]
 
However, an "INSERT" sql query (using vCursur ) will insert the correct
date if and only if the date format is "D/M/Y"
 
How do I make sure that the INSERT sql queries with a date format
"Y/M/D" will put in the correct values?
