of course I do searches! (what's a database is for otherwise :?)
I use UTF8 so I don't have the hassle of null bytes
and pass the UTF8 string to the query as usual
of course Vale will deal with it as a bunch of bytes
but, since that's what it's stored into it,
she seems to have no problems with that
Also sort is acceptably correct
(at least with latin languages, don't have a clue of what's the expected
sort of a chinese or arabic language)
