Both Server and Local databases?

I would really like to be able to combine my sources both for client and server into one project.
At present, I am having to build using the V4RB standalone plugin and test and then try and merge this source later into a separate project to test the same functionality with the Server and V4RB client. Additionally, I have the add the VDatabase(inHost,inUser,inPasswd) line to this source to get it to work.
I am trying to deliver the similar functionality of FileMaker where the user can open a local DB or a remote Server based DB (provide, host and user/password options). It seems to me, that if the V4RB plugin could accept "VDatabase(inHost,inUser,inPasswd)" and perhaps if the values passed were empty it would ignore it then I would be able to develop and manage my project as a single project and through the interface test the server and local DB access...this would really speed things up for me.
regards
Mike
