If I understood  well, it is my second model which is the best:

	If  cur < > NIL then
		if cur.recordCount < > 0 then
			...
		else
			...
		end
	else
		...
	end


On the other hand, I found some fragments of code which I retain and I 
am going to modify as a consequence my program.
