Yes, what Ken describe looks to be as bug in connections counting.
But Igor's last message points that it looks it works.

Ken, I think you need once again try to reproduce this in a42.
If you can, then we need once again try reproduce this self on our side.

Igor, wait.
You need try do as Ken do:
    enter WRONG password.
    May be connection is not decremented when exception is thrown?
