[V4RB] On OS X faster than classic?

Hi,
I've recently switched to OS X on my development Mac, at the same time
switched from RB 4.5 to 5.1, so I'm not sure which of the components is
actually causing this, but...
An application I've recently re-compiled runs now approx. 50-100% faster
than before. The speed increase happened apparently in a routine that
reads one column of approx. 400000 rows into a dictionary. I don't think
the improvement comes from the dictionary class.
Just curious, but is it possible that V4RB runs that much faster on OS
X? It's the same machine (G4 Cube/450, 512 MB RAM), it's the same database...
Cheers,
Frank+++
