Hi!
i have found a solution to this problem.
problem is ; if a valentina database resides in the "program" folder on windows NT or any other NT family OS; windows 2000, XP, a user with "restricted" permissions
(not administrator or privileged) wont be able to open the database, UNLESS the database is marked as readonly.
However if the database is marked as readonly, everything works fine. The database will off course work fine from any other
folder that is not restricted.

It seems the restricted user cant write anything to the program folder, hence valentina wont be able to do its magic there , but when the files are readonly the disk cache?, temp files? are written somewhere else.

Good.

My next BIG problem is macromedias screwy handling of text and font installation on the same setup. the have the same problems, but no easy solution
