Yes, for 2.0 will be introduced plugin system,
And as far as I see pluggable must be

    -- Fields, so you can create new field type
    -- functions 
    -- importers/exporter
    -- Encryption
    -- compression
    -- Picture formats
    -- Languages for stored procedures.
