"ORDER BY RecID" crashes Valentina

All,

I don't seem to be able to issue any SQL statement with an "ORDER BY 
RecID" clause -- every time I do, Valentina crashes (with crash logs 
jumping up all over the place -- both ViSQL and REALBasic).  Is this 
inherent to Valentina's indexing - do I need to create a Virtual Field 
based on the RecID?  Other SQL statements work fine, and according to 
the "Diagnose Report" from  Valentina Carbon, the database is fine.
