Yes, runs under several unix variants, Windows, and OS X. Pretty easy 
to setup. Looking at the docs, some very impressive features 
especially with respect to multi-database transactions. Free for 
commercial use. I decided not to use it because I hated the C-api. A 
major pain to extract data from the results. If I recall correctly, 
it did not have bidirectional cursors.
