How to store jpg graphix in V4RB

HI
I have created a VBLOB field and I want to store a series of jpg images 
in a VDB (rather than call them up from disk using the folderitem 
method). Can anyone enlighten me as to the code to add a record for 
VBLOB items?  As usual, I cannot seem to figure itnout from the example 
provided with the plugin. It doesn't seem the same as normal text 
fields etc.
