Yes - there was a conflict with this ...

Daniel - do you have access to some other Mac so that we can isolate
the problem on your machine?
I can also try to install the french OS X here and test if vStudio is
running on it.
Has any other french user seen this problem before?

Maybe there was a problem with the download or unstuffing? What version of
Stuffit expander do you use?
