In fact this way is common for ALL Windows Developer Tools:

    Visual C++
    Code Warrior
    Sybase tools
    MS Enterprise Manager.

But yes, they all allow switch between options.
But as I see most Windows developers work in this way -- dockable windows.

I also hate it. :-)
