Yes.

Vstudio should know datasource and SQL query to be able show you preview.

But your REALBasic application can work absolutely with other DB.

EVEN MORE: you can design report in vstudio using mySQL db,
 but from RB specify postgre, SQLite Valentina DB as datasource.

This is much more flexible.
