I trash VS 4.0.0 and reinstall the last version from http://valentina-db.com/download/betas/
and this version work (4.0.1).

I try tomorrow for v4MD because I've also problem with v4MD 4
Director with v4MD v4 in authoring mode read but not write  
database...  (no problem with 3.5.2)

I've never install VS Pro (beta or other) on this mac.
but I have also VS 3.6
