Char is in path, not in db name?
Well, I think this is because V4MD still uses old CARBON way of FSSpes, but
not modern FSRef. 

Other products tend to use FSRef...

I see you are using V4MD UB because you work with D11.
By idea UB also should tend to Fsref.
So yes should be possible to fix.
