How 2.5.2 and 2.5.3 works in regard of corruptions ?

Ruslan,

I don't know if this is related, but after installing 2.5.3, in Vstudio I change one field from varchar to Text (compressed) and now on this table when I do tbl.RecID = var (in code) I get Cathastropic Error, unless var equal 0

Diagnose of Table in Vstudio say:

14:47:20: File ..\..\..\sources\VStudio\Plugins\Valentina_2\vsV2_Database.cpp, Line 1732
14:47:20: Kernel error: 0x70503
14:47:20: [WheelConf
14:47:20: can't read from file descriptor 4 (error 998: invalid access to memory location.)

And in Diagnose text window I get just some strange chars:

Ā>Ÿ>

Copy from window and paste here gives as below though

Ā>Ÿ>
DŽȌ

Then I do (vstudio) Reindex Table, which say "Reindex Successful" but after Error comes:

15:04:57: File ..\..\..\sources\VStudio\Plugins\Valentina_2\vsV2_Database.cpp, Line 1732
15:04:57: Kernel error: 0x70503
15:04:57: Table "[WheelConf" not found.

I don't know but it seem to have something to do with [, I think either it should not be there or ] is missing. Looks like a count by 1 wrong in memory size, either + or - ?

Then, I try to change back from Text to varchar but get error:

15:10:10: File ..\..\..\sources\VStudio\Plugins\Valentina_2\vsV2_Field.cpp, Line 2529
15:10:10: Kernel error: 0x9952b
15:10:10: Segment "1" is wrong. The last segment is "0".

I then try to delete field but this chrash Vstudio and after datanase can no longer be open, corrupted I think. Luckily I have backup.

I hope this infor can be use full?

Joakim
