Rebuild indexes?

When I launched my app for the first time after installing 2.3b2, a search
on a related text field took over 400 seconds with a lot of hard drive
activity. After that, searches took around 3 seconds even after quitting and
restarting the app and REALbasic. Did the beta rebuild the indexes?
