[VS] Can't create a new database

In Studio 2.0b16, I cannot create new database files. Every time I try, I
get the error:

 File "/private/var/timp/folders.501/TemporaryItems/125366862" is not open.

Pressing the Details button also reveals:

 Kernel error 0x59505

The four files are created, but cannot be opened.
