I just wanted to clarify this.  Rev uses UTF16 for display of Unicode  
in fields and such.  It is the externals interface that doesn't allow  
you to work with UTF16.  That is why the Valentina folks had to  
create a workaround.

As Ron mentioned, there are still some wholes with Unicode in Rev  
that need to be filled in.
