Btw, only now have to see.

MAC use UTF16 internally.

OS X uses in the background the same IBM ICU library
that Valentina 2.0 does.

Windows also internally works with utf16

With UTF8 work only software products that do not have time or power to
switch to UTF16.

Just C++ app much more simple hack to to UTF8 support then to UTF16.
