problem with reading NULL from DateField

Hi,

sorry Mantis seems to be down. I use

       EditField5.text=meineDatenbank.TWP.Field("Emission").getstring
       EditField6.text=meineDatenbank.TWP.Field("Maturity").getstring

to read 2 fields. Both fields are NULL in database but in EditFields 
are shown 00.00.0000
In 1.10 EditFields were empty.
Is this now new functionality and I have to change code or is this a 
bug?
