More info. I modified your Classes example for making a new db, 
adding mDatabase.creator = "ABCD" before the database was created.

Database1.blb, Database1.dat, Database1.ind, and Database1.tmp all 
have a creator of "ABCD".

Database1.vdb has a creator of "VALA".

With a 1 file db (like mine), the creator is "VALA".
