Initially, for the Preferences database the size went from about 240K 
to about 500K. For a real data storage database it went from about 
320K to almost 600K.

I've re-written tables in both these databases so that there is one 
standard record that I access via a "propertyname" field to get 
different stored values (defaults, preferences, etc.) and that has 
reduced the size. But of course that would have reduced the size in 
the 1.x databases, too. So the difference is about 2X.
